Name: Melanie C. Tapnio

Hi! My students often call me "Mam Mel".

I am a graduate of BS in Nursing from Far Eastern University in 1993 and finished my Master of Arts in Nursing from the University of Asia and the Pacific. I had my 3-year-clinical experience at Mary Johnston Hospital in Manila where I gained expertise in bed side care. I started teaching this subject, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, in 1997 and as they say "the rest is history". This has been my passion: sharing my expertise in this field to my students. I will be guiding you as we study the different phases of motherhood and my hope is for you to be come a student nurse capable of rendering care to mothers, children, and their family.
